The Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination is scheduled for October or November 2023. However, the candidate selection process is expected to take place in May 2023. This process will involve participants taking a Screening Test that will likely be part of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam. Approximately 150 vacancies will be filled on the results of the UPSC IFoS Examination 2023.

UPSC Notification 2023
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Public Service Exam Notice 2023 on its official website on 1st February, 2023. Candidates should submit their UPSC CSE application form online at upsconline.nic.in before February 21, 2023. Aspirants can apply for UPSC 2023 exam application form between 1st February 2023 and 21st February 2023.
In 2023, the Council will fill 1,105 vacancies, 37 of which will be for people in the baseline disability category and 15 for people with reduced mobility, such as 10 for people with multiple disabilities. UPSC IAS Prelims exam dates, application start and end dates, job vacancy information, recruitment process and other details are available to candidates.

Educational qualifications
Candidates must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in one of the disciplines of animal husbandry and veterinary science, botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics, and zoology, or at least one in agriculture, forestry, or engineering Bachelor of Science degree University of India established by Act of the Central or State Legislature, or any other educational institution established by Act of Parliament or qualified as a University or holding equivalent qualifications under Section 3 of the Universities Education Grants Commission Act, 1956.
Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and no older than 32 years old. (Age As on 01.08.2023)
Medical & Physical Standards
Candidate’s physical qualifications must meet the requirements for admission to the 2023 Indian Forest Service Examination, as outlined in Appendix-III of the rules for the 2023 Indian Forest Service Examination, which were published in the Gazette of India on February 1st, 2023.

UPSC IFS Prelims 2023 Number of Attempts
Every applicant who participates in the Examination is eligible, except for those who participate. Six attempts are granted to each candidate. If this cap on the number of attempts is not applied to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates who are otherwise eligible, this will be considered a concession. Additional text: Candidates from Other Backward Classes who are otherwise eligible are permitted to attempt the examination nine times.

- Enter the second stage of the UPSC IFoS application process.
- Complete the Part 1 registration form, pay the fee and upload your documents.
- Select a test center and fill out the form.
- Download the form and print it out for future reference.
